Weekly Splitcoast Sketch Challenge #352

Here's SC532...keep in mind-you don't have to use a star for layer #5, just use whatever embellishment you want.  I was just looking through the gallery and I saw people using bats, butterflies, and leaves.  You can also flip the sketch on its side, if you'd like.  Just as long as the basic elements are the same.  Have fun!

Sketch Challenge 350

Click here for the weekly Splitcoast sketch challenge.  I'm not a fan of diagonal lines, so I'm not sure I'm going to attempt this one.  If you go to the gallery and do a search for SC350, you can see what other people have made using this sketch.  Have fun!

I'll be posting my stamp club projects on Sunday, after our meeting.

New Sketch Challenge from SCS

I love the sketch challenges on www.splitcoaststampers.com.  They've really helped me to try new layouts and do things that I normally wouldn't have done.  And I've loved almost everyone I've ever done!

Ghost Punch Art

I created this card as a project for my stamp club but then decided on a different layout (to be posted after September 18th).  It's still pretty cute, though, even if it didn't make the final cut.  The ghost is made by turning the owl upside down and trimming off the feet.  The Night & Day decorator paper is made into an origami shadow box.  It's very easy to do, I followed the directions here.  She also tells you how to to use the Top Note die with your Big Shot to get that interesting shape behind the shadow box.

Stamps: Holiday Best
Paper: whisper white, basic black, red glimmer paper, night & day dp
Ink: black stazon
Accessories: top note die, Big Shot, decorative label punch, black gingham ribbon, sponge, owl punch, dimensionals, houndstooth embossing folder
Techniques: origami shadow box, die cutting, using punches, punch art, dry embossing
